Cosworth Performance Engineered Motor Oils are extremely robust formulations developed in-house to provide the friction reduction, deposit and wear control, and viscosity stability required over the entire spectrum of operating conditions experienced by high performance engines. Made with true synthetic Group IV and V base oils and highly effective anti-oxidants, these motor oils meet the demands equated with extreme heat and extended use. They are shear stable to ensure consistent viscosity at all sliding speeds. A unique blend of friction modifiers reduce friction over the widest possible temperature range in order to fully treat the complete extent of engine mechanicals under any state of boundary lubrication. The anti-wear additive system complements, rather than competes against, the friction modifier chemistries and together safeguard metal surfaces. The detergent system keeps pistons and rings clean and free from deposits under high combustion temperatures and pressures, as well as lower stress partial-load situations. The dispersants hold contaminants in suspension to prevent sludge from blocking oil drain back ports. The ability to cover a broad operating temperature range ensures undesirable deposits won´t appear even under non-racing conditions.
